We are proud to announce that on 7 May 2010 we agreed to work in association with Allergy UK, the country's leading medical charity dealing with allergy.
In 2007 Allergy UK prepared a report on The Impact of Allergies and Asthma on People’s Holidays and found that 74.5% of people feel that their allergies and asthma impact on their holidays and they have to consider their needs before booking.
"We love the concept of allergyfriendlyhotels.com and are delighted that we are working in association with them", said an Allergy UK spokesperson. "I am sure it will be very popular with allergy sufferers and also those who simply want to find accommodation with really clean, fresh rooms and healthy menus".
Allergy UK will be actively promoting allergyfriendlyhotels.com via its own website (www.allergyuk.org) which receives 10,000 hits per week, as well as via its forum, helplines and at shows/ events.
"I am delighted that Allergy UK have chosen to work with us" said Clare Millar, founder of allergyfriendlyhotels.com. "This association will help us raise our profile and brand awareness in reaching out to the allergy community and hoteliers. Allergy UK are a fantastic organisation who do a brilliant job for allergy sufferers. Allergy UK, like us, believe that allergyfriendlyhotels.com provides a much needed service, empowering people to find suitable places to stay away from home."

Welcome to the new site
We launched this site on 1 February 2010 with nearly 100 allergy friendly places to stay. We've many more to add and we are working hard every day to load them to the site. As the weeks, months and years roll by, we will be adding further allergy friendly accommodation in England, Europe, USA, the Far East, and the rest of the world, all of which willl be dedicated to catering for allergy sufferers. We want this to be a truly global directory because we know that many holidays are taken abroad.
Of course, there will be lots of allergy friendly places to stay that we will not know about. You can help us, and indeed all those that also suffer from allergies, by telling us about such allergy friendly accommodation so that we can seek to add them.
Please also tell you friends, fellow allergy sufferers, doctors, consultants, dieticians, asthma clinics, local support groups, and, heck(!), anyone else we've not thought of, about allergyfriendlyhotels.com. Simply follow the 'Tell a friend' link on the left.
Thank you for your support!
